On the website that follows, we’re pleased to share an overview of our understanding of the opportunity and our initial thoughts on how we could partner together in developing your new brand, digital touchpoints, and its foundational footprint.

Launched in 2015 by Harji Singh, Azai Studios works with people and businesses to help them in the creation or evolution of their brand experience. We at Azai Studios apply creative and technical thought to deliver effective, sustainable, and inspiring design solutions at scale.

Now as a global agency with team members in New York City, Dubai, and Riga, we seek out diverse opportunities that celebrate cultural diversity and expression. Our reach across continents allows us to work in different time zones, and to collaborate with talent from around the world, all to provide our clients with top quality work. We could continue on in agency jargon but we figured we’d get to the important stuff…

We're a small agency, and we're proud of that.

It's not always about the numbers, and we’re only as good as our last project. It lets us to say no to the projects that don't fit our ethos and allows us to be more transparent - because we can.

That's not a thing many agencies brag about, but we love it. We are a tight-knit team. All of us come from larger agency backgrounds, so we’ve seen may pain-points from client-side to agency-side.

We learned that when you work with big agencies, a lot of the time there are things that get in the way of simply doing the best work. Being the small lets us keep the focus on the work itself, and away from the mundane. It lets us be less bureaucratic, which enables out-of-the-box thinking.

Costs, Phases and Deliverables

Below you'll see a detailed outline of deliverables and fees for the associated activities. In addition, Azai Studios recommends earmarking an estimated $5,000 - $15,000 to put towards additional asset development to be defined mid-way through the project. This can be for additional creative such as motion graphics, illustrations and/or video. We feel that it's important to earmark these funds, and are conscious of the targeted cap for this initial phase of work and establishment of your brand.

For the deliverables listed within this document, Client will pay Azai Studios the following amounts. If additional deliverables or activities are required, additional fees may be incurred. All overages and out-of-pocket expenses will be approved beforehand by Client.

Discovery, Insights, Strategy

Every memorable advertising campaign starts with a strong insight. For starters, insight is a universal truth about why a particular consumer behavior exists—from why people like expensive clothes to why kids like colorful toys. The job of an advertising agency, on the other hand, is to respond to this insight with a big idea. Our team will do a deep dive to figure out how we can best target your customer, on which channel and how.

  • Client to provide all access to historic and current data (analytics, reports, trends and research reports)
  • Client provides all access to current content and copy docs
  • Agency may need to purchase industry specific reports in order to provide industry specific insights

Defining Goals:

  • SMART: specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time-bound. Just like the acronym suggests, a SMART objective is well thought out and crafted with consideration. It keeps you focused on the path to reaching your goal and helps you avoid logistical or strategic pitfalls. 
Set a SMART objective that describes why you are running the campaign and what you hope to accomplish. Key questions to answer include: What customer behavior are you trying to change? What will that do for the business?

Define KPIs:

  • Determine the key performance indicators (KPIs) you’ll use to evaluate the success of your campaign. KPIs are the metrics that you identify as most important for tracking performance against your stated objective. All KPIs are metrics, but not all metrics are KPIs. Consider: What are the top one to three metrics that address, “Did we reach our objective?”?

Segmenting your target audience:

  • Know who you want to address, what their tastes, needs, or preferences are, where are you looking to meet their expectations, etc. This is the time to create your buyer persona.

Positioning:

  • To achieve proper positioning, it's crucial that you are very clear (and reach your audience in the same way) about what your value proposition is and what it entails. In short, it’s why the consumer should choose you and not the competition. You need to know how you’re going to communicate your unique value proposition and how to do so appropriately in the channels where your audience is present (social media, blogs, email marketing, and more).

Keyword Research:

  • Our team will deep dive into keyword research and see which keywords we can target to achieve the highest ROAS for each campaign.

Content strategy:

  • This is important for creating, distributing, and managing original content that attracts users and positions the brand as referential in users' top of mind. Besides, you also have to map out a specific communications plan for every channel. Some of the tools we use to execute this strategy are

Design & Execution

For a campaign to be successful, we will need to come up with the appropriate ad copy, design, and execution on each ad channel. Our team will take everything we learned and strategized from Phase 2 and execute it during this phase.

  • Two (2) rounds of revision provided per presentation
  • Up to 10 Ad Sets per platform
  • Up to 2 Ad Platforms (i.e Google, Facebook Ads Manager)
  • Art buying as needed

Ad Copy

Ad copy is designed to get the reader to respond or take action. The goal of ad copy is to increase conversion rates and profits. Ad copy achieves this by highlighting the key components of a product or service and communicating them to potential customers in a way they can relate to. When used properly, ad copy is very powerful and effective.

Each advertisement our team will come up with  copy, voice, tone and personality catered to each ad and channel.

Ad Design

Our team will come up with the designs for each Ad. We will leverage all of your current brand attributes, photography, graphics, animations and/or videos assets to come up with the Ads. Each ad will be formatted for each specific channel.

Ad Campaign Setup & Launch

Our team will set up and create each campaign to run on the appropriate channels. We will set the target audiences, demographics and psychographics defined in our strategy phase. We will place all Ad Creative and Copy into each appropriate channel. Our team will link your Google Ads account to conversion metrics which we can track on Google Analytics. For Facebook and Instagram Ads, our team will install and test the appropriate Facebook Pixels.

Reporting, optimization and tweaks

Once our ad campaigns have launched, our team will need to monitor each ad set to A/B test and optimize. This ensures we can strategically allocate the defined budgets towards the ad sets which are performing better.

  • Weekly ad account optimizations.

Ad A/B Testing

A/B testing, also called split testing, is a tactic by which we find out which ad headlines, body copy, images, call-to-actions, or a combination of the above work best for your target audience. Moreover, we can experiment with several  audiences and ad placements to know who’s our perfect audience and which placements they can be reached with.

Founder & Creative Director

Harji has over a decade of experience working in branding, marketing, and content production. He started working in the creative field at visual communication and design agency, where he discovered the ins and outs of branding. He's worked with several noteworthy companies, from Invesco Adsvisors, to McLaren Automotive, to Nespresso.

Through his career, Harji was able to work in a wide range of industries spanning from financial services, to real estate, to hospitality, to tech, fashion, automotive, and luxury brands. After working his way up to Creative Director at BBDO group, he ventured onto founding his own Creative Agency. With award-winning work and teams in New York, Dubai, and Riga, his focus remains on creating brands that drive desire.

Krists D.

Lead Designer

Krists is a Birmingham City University graduate with 8 years of experience in graphic design, creating visual identities and design systems for various clients both locally and internationally. He is the founder of brand guideline tool Corebook and internationally published project 21wallpaper. Krists joined the Azai Studios team in 2017 and is now the head of Design. Krists is also the studio lead for Azai Studios Riga.

Lead Strategist

With her global media agency experience, Japna brings a diverse background working across multiple disciplines ranging from Research and Consumer Segmentation to Brand strategy and quantifying campaign success through Measurement solutions. She brings years of experience working with an impressive portfolio of clients, from Fortune 500 companies to smaller start-up brands. Japna now handles all client Accounts and Strategy at Azai Studio's New York City office.
